- Taxes, fees and charges shall be paid by the passenger at the time of ticketing.
- Once application is submitted and an award is issued, the passenger name, the name of the person whose miles are being redeemed and the segment cannot be changed.
- A stopover is permitted for one way and round trip awards with extra miles. Onward connecting flights within 24 hours are not considered a stopover.
- Dates and Flight can be changed after ticketing for USD 20.00 & USD 50.00 per change on domestic & International flights, respectively.
- ShebaMiles Silver members are entitled to one free re-booking before trip commencement. This applies if and only if tier status is Silver at the time of re-booking request.
- ShebaMiles Gold members are entitled to two free re-bookings before trip commencement. This applies if and only if tier status is Gold at the time of re-booking request.
- ShebaMiles Platinum members are entitled to unlimited free re-bookings before and after commencement of the trip. This applies if and only if tier status is Platinum at the time of date change request.
- Miles indicated in the Star Alliance flight award calculator applies to an adult, a child and an infant who occupy a seat. An infant without a seat travels free of charge when accompanied by an adult.
- Star Alliance flight awards are valid for 12 months from the original issue date.
- Awards tickets are not eligible to earn any type of miles and tier Qualifying Segments.
- Members can transfer an award to a third person who has been pre-nominated by the member at the time of applying for an award over the Ethiopian Airlines website, or at ET office.
- Refund is not allowed for partially used Award Tickets.
- Fully unutilized Award Ticket or Upgrade may be refunded against a fee of USD 100.00. Miles should be within the mile validity period. Expired Miles are non-refundable.
